Finally, the first Google Plus Business Pages are online. Google published the following video earlier today:
With Google+ Pages, Companies, Organizations and brands will be able to join Google’s social network Google+ and to connect with customers and fans and to build worthwhile relationships. Customers have the possibility to +1 your business and to keep up-to-date on news, events or specials related to your company by adding the business page to a circle. Also it will be possible to start a hang-out with your customers and to let them be a part of the team and the products or services they love.
Google Plus Pages are not available for everybody yet, but very soon you’ll be able to start your own business page here: plus.google.com/pages/create.
The following businesses, tv channels, bands and brands take part in the beta test:
- The All-American Rejects (Oklahoma Rockband)
- Anderson Cooper 360 (News Broadcast on CNN)
- Angry Birds (Computer Game)
- FC Barcelona (Soccer Club)
- Burberry (British Fashion Brand)
- Dallas Cowboys (American Football Team)

I still need to get off my butt and look into Google Plus Pages! This time of the year results in my falling behind in my RSS reading by so much and that’s hinders me from keeping up to date with all these new things.
Thank you for posting.
Hi Chris,
same counts for me. I think it is natural. There is so much information out there that it is hard to follow all the blogs, news sites etc. and extract the piece of information that could be important for oneself.
Great post! Hard to find local info on the subject of social networking.
Looking forward to the next post.
Cheers
Lauren
Thanks Lauren for your comment! That’s right, there is not much local information out there. That’s why I started this blog. I’m quite busy at the moment but I I have plans to write more about social media and online marketing in South Africa. So hopefuly there will be a new post soon
Great! I look forward to it
